Pine Forest Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Bastrop, Texas.
Pine Forest Golf Club first opened in 1979. The course was designed by Don January. The course was rennovated in 1992 by Billy Martindale.
This very scenic course was built alongside the Colorado River. The course is unique because of its wide variety of elevation changes which take place from hole to hole. In addition, three lakes come into play.
#3 is a picturesque par-3, playing 170 yards downhill, with a green framed by the red bluffs.
#7 plays along the Colorado, and is protected by a massive cottonwood tree on the left.
#11's green is the higest point on the course.
#12, a par-3, plays to 180 yards and you’ll need to leave it below the hole.
#16, a par-3, plays 225 yards and is protected by a beautiful oak tree on the left.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,569 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,946 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 539 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 170 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 403 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Pine Forest is # 12, a 180 yard par-3.

We paid 25$ for a round at 8 am on a Sunday! The course was in great condition and a lot of fun. It was an hour drive for me, but well worth it. What a value

The course was in good condition for early March; however the greens were rather slow. It could be that they were letting the grass grow out a little more than normal. I think the course would be in great shape toward the middle or late April when the trees are leafed out.

Great play for the money. On the Colorado river in the hills with some elevation changes.

Just a little rough around the edges which could be solved with more maintenance. Elevation changes are a challenge so course needs to be maintained at a better level than it is. As close to a mountain course you can find in Texas.
